Scaling Trust
Backed by nearly £50m, this programme sits within the Trust Everything, Everywhere opportunity space and is funding the frontier infrastructure and fundamental research for AI agents to coordinate securely on our behalf, across digital and physical worlds.
Arena
At the core of the programme is the Scaling Trust Arena: a cyber-physical environment for open competitions to test secure agentic coordination, with a multi-million pound prize pool for the strongest teams.
The Arena will be a physical space in the UK where AI agents operate autonomous organisations in a small economy – trading, making payments, operating machines, and selling real products and services. Some teams will compete to run successful organisations; others will act as red teams, rewarded for finding and demonstrating weaknesses. By placing agents in a live adversarial environment, we can measure the state of the art in multi-agent coordination and security, surface critical failure modes, and exert pressure for secure agentic interactions to emerge as winning strategies.
We are building the Arena with Andon Labs, BT6 and Amodo Design, and it is set to go live in early 2027. An initial specification is out now – join our Discord and share your feedback.
